"Light
Effect" Photos
These
are either kind of weird, or artsy... it definitely depends
how you look at it. Most of these pictures deal with unusual
lighting. Most.

|
This one is just kind of cool
because of the colorful paths of light left by
Christmas lights as the camera was moved. This is
caused by the way that automatic cameras lengthen
the time the shutter is open when there is low
light.

|
Similarly, this is the loops
left the by lights of cars on the expressway.
(Don't even ask.) It also looks kind of cool, in a
way.

This is a picture of a small
Christmas tree. It's nothing too exciting... I just
included this because of the nice glowing light
cast onto the wall by the bulbs.

A kid holding a super bright
light. I like it because of how the light seems
blinding even on your monitor, and how it
illuminates the kid and even makes some purple and
blue glare off the camera lens.

What's that you say? This
looks like Disney's Quasimodo, from "the Hunchback
of Notre Dame", on fire? Well, you guessed right.
Don't ask me about this one either. I was only the
photographer! Hopefully somebody out there gets a
kick out of this one.

This is probably the least
special photo on this page. It was a spinning
ceiling fan in a dim restaurant. The low lighting
lengthened the camera lens open time, which caused
the fan blades to blur together. I guess it looks
like the fan is spinning extremely fast or
something.

A nice picture of sunlight
shining through a stained glass window. There's
another one like this on TERSCH.com's
Macro
Mode Photos page.

Although it's very blurry,
and actually, quite pointless, I like this picture
because it shows a few tall buildings in Chicago
lit up at night. It somehow seems high-tech.
Unusual, at the very least.
